Results

We are offering the users the opportunity to evaluate by themselves the qualities of the solar panels manufactured by us. We are offering access to the daily protocols – Excel files.

The data is a detailed table and graphic information about the change of the temperature of the panels every 5 minutes and the energy absorbed by them in the light part of the day.

The movement of the collectors can be seen in several films, fast forwarded and synchronized with the change of the temperatures.

26.01.2008, a sunny day - for 7 working hours on a winter day there have been utilized 15.4 KW/h with 3 “Focus-42-C” collectors.
16.02.2008, cold and sunny - heated water heater 120 litres from 13ºC up to 55 ºC at outdoor temperature -4 ºC.
18.02.2008, cold and sunny - the water heater was heated from 33 ºC up to 62 ºC at outdoor temperature of -9 ºC.
03.03.2008, a sunny day - consumption of warm water at 1:00 p.m. and reaching of 65 ºC until the end of the day.
05.03.2008, thick clouds - consumption of warm water from the water heater on a sunny day.
17.03.2008, a sunny day - consumption of warm water 52 ºC at 12:00 p.m. Until 5:00 p.m. in the water heater the temperature is 60 ºC.

Data from special experiments

24th the night before the 25th of February - Night recording - cooling down of the heat transmitter in the system with switched on pump.

25.02.2008 - multiple activation of the overheating protection, individually for each panel. Performance of protective rotation shading by the directing system, until cooling and restoration of the accurate orientation.

26.02.2008 - water heater 120 litres, supplied with water having temperature of 8.8 ºC. It is heated only by one “Focus-42” panel to 40,6 ºC for 8 working hours’ operation on a sunny day.

Components of the system

The results have been obtained from the experimental station located in the town of Tervel. The following components were installed:

• Parabolic panels “Focus-42-C” with stands and directing controllers – 3 items
• Total length of the pipe system – 54 metres
• Liquid in the pipe system – 70% water, 30% propylene-glycol
• Pump 60W, 220V – 1 item. Back check valve – 1 item
• Water heater 120 litres with one serpentine – 1 item
• Personal computer for recording data – 1 item
